Jason was born and raised in Campbell River and has always had close ties to the Forest industry.  Having a father with over 30 years in the forest sector he learned an appreciation for one of our greatest natural resources.  After graduating from CARIHI, Jason was a Junior Hockey player spending 4 years following his sport throughout North America then moving on to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology when he was recruited to play at the Varsity level. His 4 years at NAIT were not all spent on the ice, education was also a top priority.  Through hard work and determination Jason graduated with a Business Management Diploma in 2015 and a Forest Technology Diploma (with Honors) in 2017.  His past experiences make him no stranger when it comes to teamwork and he has gained many valuable skills that have allowed him to thrive in his forestry career thus far.  A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn are but a few of the traits he is excited to bring to Coastal Forest.
